About six months after starting Step by Step my son, Michael, came home with a small model of the solar system which his teachers helped him put together. Michael then named all of the planets in order. I was blown away!

A year later he is still deeply interested in all things related to the solar system and space. These are the types of early exposures to interesting subjects that foster life long curiosity and learning in young children. Something I am sure Michael would not have learned in any other daycare in Inwood.

Finding a good daycare is hard, finding one that both you and your child feel comfortable with is even harder.

A year ago I went for an interview at Step by Step and I knew in two minutes after being there that this would be the right place for us.

Coming from a previous daycare that had a webcam that I could see my child on when he played, ate or napped, I knew that there was no need for a camera here.

The staff is friendly, always available and they really know each of the children's needs.

The space is big, clean and decorated with nice bright colors and there is plenty of light so you are able to see everything!

My child is happy here. He runs into the daycare in the mornings and at night he often hugs his teacher goodnight. His behavior has changed so much for the better. He was potty trained in two weeks by the staff. I was trying at home but had no success.

After visiting about 10 daycares nearby, I'm really glad and happy we chose Step by Step.

My son Jeremiah currently attends the daycare and has been for over a year. I love this daycare, as does my son. The staff gives love and caring to him everyday and there are times when I come to pick him up that he wants to stay. The teachers are patient and understanding and even informed me when they saw that Jeremiah was not progressing as he should so that I can get him the necessary assistance.

When I drop him off I do not worry about him for I know he is in good hands. In a couple of years my son will be going to kindergarten and I am dismayed on him leaving Step by Step. They make me feel confident in my child's learning and his care.
He is growing so much with their guidance and I do not know what I would do without them. The facility is quite a bit of travel to get there and to get to work from there but they are totally worth it.
Both my husband and I don not know what we would do without them. Because of Step by Step my son has grown into a loving, caring, intelligent, healthy little individual and I will and do recommend them to anyone who is looking for care for their child. You will not find a better place that gives so much to bring your child.
